High school is a time when teenagers are trying to find themselves. Freshman come into it timid and innocent while seniors have figured out who they are and who they want to be in the future. Freshman look up to seniors because they’re “cool” and have it all figured out. There is always that one freshman who finds their way into a senior clique and quickly adapts to their mini world. The freshman begins to dress and act like the older group and misses out on the awkward stage in which they are trying to find themselves. Instead, they take the route that will make them “cool” and “popular.”

My idea for this photo is to have someone trying to force someone to change who they are. The main subject of the photo is a girl with a young and innocent appearance. Someone else is trying to get her to drink alcohol even though it goes against what she values. The facial expression and body language of the subject is one of disgust and fear. She wants to fit in, but doesn’t want to do something out of character. The bottle is pointed downward and towards the girl’s mouth to show that someone else is trying to force her to drink the alcohol.
