The prompt for this photo is “trust.” My concept behind this photo is how people maintain trust between them and their significant other. The idea of keeping your significant other on a short leash comes to mind. In today’s society, cheating and dishonesty are all too common; it is almost expected. When an individual is not allowed much independence from their significant other, it makes it extremely difficult for them to do something they are not supposed to do, maintaining the trust in the relationship. However, this idea is ironic because if you truly trusted them, it would not be necessary to keep a close eye on them at all time.

In my photo, I took a picture of someone on a short leash. The boy is on the leash because it is more stereotypical of boys to cheat and for girls to be more controlling. I also used a prong collar. Prong collars are commonly used in dog training as a correcting tool. This, along with her stance and the body language of the boy, symbolizes that the girl has false trust in her significant other. The leash symbolizes the trust in the relationship. She is giving the leash very little slack, which ironically shows how little trust she has in her significant other.
