A lot of people take pride in the things they own. For example, people are proud to be homeowners, car owners, business owners, parents, etc. These things bring joy, happiness, and a sense of worth to people’s lives. However, all of this can be taken from them. Selfish people have the audacity to take precious valuables from others and claim them as their own. In my photo, I want to focus on the idea of a thief stealing something and taking ownership of something that isn’t theirs, specifically, a house and the items in it.

In my photo, someone is breaking into someone else’s house. The person is wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and gloves to signify that they are a thief and that this house is not theirs. The body language of the person also suggests that they are committing an act that is unlawful. The person’s shoulders are shrugged and their body is held close to the door. This shows that they are being secretive. Also, the position of the hands gives off a sense of urgency, like at any moment, this person may be caught.
